Yonkers resident Ilir Ugrinaj, 27, has been indicted by a Westchester County grand jury on charges that include menacing a police officer, criminal possession of a weapon, assault and obstructing governmental administration, dating back to an incident that took place in the city on April 10.
On April 10, when officers responding to a domestic violence report arrived at the intersection of Browning Avenue and Mildred Street, Ugrinaj was wielding a switchblade, according to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. Ugrinaj allegedly menaced the officers and left one with an injury.
Ugrinaj has been remanded to the Westchester County Jail. He is due back in court on July 31 to answer the charges.
